A domain is quite simply and "address" on the internet. On the other hand, the string that identifies a location of a web page for example, "http://www.gol-hps.com" is a "site address", or URL.
Similar to how there is only one possible address for any location, there cannot be two of the same domains on the internet.
In an e-mail address like this one for example, "info@gol-hps.com," what come after the @ mark is a domain.
Domain: gol-hps.com |
